First deviation of the new year! Ironically, this piece has been on my HD for like, 6 months. I was working on this in June, and then abandoned it. Finishing the Megaman commission inspired me to resuscitate it a few days ago and - wala!

The characters are Anita Blake and Jean Claude from the Anita Blake: Vampire Hunter novels. I stopped reading them because.. well, if you've ever read a few of them, you'll probably know why. T_T

I increased the opacity of their skin because I originally had it way too dark. I've saved a version of this picture where they lack skin, and it looks really cool. To see that version, click: [link]

The lineart, of which there is hardly any left (yay!) was done in pencil (I believe I submitted it - the original lineart has Richard included at the top left, but I don't like him, so this picture is sans Richard ), and the rest was done in PS10.

Geez, I'm going to have like 400 deviations by the end of the month with my pace... I was going to wait to submit this, but then I thought.. why the hell not submit it?
