i like it!
i think the dark colors- the black in the trees and the dark blue sky show darkness, in a physical and emotional sense... but it occurs to me that the light "surrounds" the characters in the drawing, as if faith is the "light at the end of the tunnel" i know it sounds cliche, but i really like it!
