Great work I loves the colors of the horse, so real as wild mustangs. I don't understand how you can to draw something beautiful with watercolors

Sorry for my lack of culture in hand signs.. ^^"
And it's called "horns" so it doesn't really help!

Thank you then!

If you ever happen to attend a metal concert you'll find, that it's the metalheads' common sign of appreciation

Originally it was supposed to symbolize the devil's horns, therefore the name. I suggest to abandon this interpretation though. It's a sign of happiness and pleasure, without any evil connotation

Ah! Wonderful! I like the simplicity of the background. It makes me think of mustangs out West here in America. These are such nice desert colors I can imagine the red stone walls and sand spray from his hooves and the wind. Very good that you left so much to the imagination and did not take away from the detail of the horse with a too busy background. I love the contrast of the richly colored background and the grey horse. It actually seems to give the horse more color and they compliment each other very well. Also, your horse anatomy is right on and his movement is fluid and not constrained. The flowing background gives more to this motion. I knew it would be beautiful! XD

Thank you so much for your beautiful comment!
I'm so happy you like it!

Well it was declined in a group because of "anatomy problems".. --"

Huh, I don't know why? I've been drawing horses all of my life! What did they say was wrong? It looks good to me. I think they are jealous! tehe! It really is wonderful. I would hang it on my wall.

Eh, I just don't see it. Anything even questionable about the anatomy could be due to the angle. Also, there is artistic license. Oh, well. I never try to submit anything. Sometimes a group will run across something of mine and want to use it but that's rare, haha. I think the only place that might need your attention is the right front ankle, just above the hoof is rather thin but you can easily correct it if you wanted but again it may be the angle and exactly how your reference looked. But still don't be discouraged! 1 in 300 people could not paint this as well as you did.

I think they may be right, the left hind leg from the viewer is too fat..

Do you really think someone would buy it? (if the person has some money.. )

Oh, yes! I do. It is hard to find the people with money to spend on art these days though. I think dA is not a good place. There is so much competition here and almost all of us artists are poor, hahaha. If there is somewhere locally that sells art I think you would have no trouble having your work accepted there. If I was smart I would be doing wildlife paintings and selling them at a gallery here. They have already said they would take my work but I am tired of painting wildlife. That is my problem. I want to do art for me or my friends and family and not to sell. But there are so many horse lovers in the world that your horse paintings should sell. I had quite a bit of luck doing dog and cat portraits one year but again, I got tired of painting people's fat dogs! haha I am not a good one to make a career at my art because I am rather lazy. But I know what is good from being around it forever, you know.

That's what I thought too. Even if it were possible, I would maybe get tired to paint horses or dogs. I like to paint the in "strange" positions, and I'm quite afraid what I would be asked would be way too classical and therefore boring for me..
And the second thing is that I like to make a painting, keep it a bit, and then, when I'm tired of it, I can give it to someone (or sell it).
But make somthing to know it'll go away before you can get tired of it? I don't really know.. ^^"
I think you draw very well, but some of your works look "unfinished" to me because they are very white and so they don't really catch the eye.
It's not a black and white pb, I just think we see too much paper under!

Hahaha! Yes, you are like me but often when I paint something for someone else it is boring to me and so I don't mind selling it. Hmmm...I will have to look more closely at my work and see. Many are unfinished but I am always wanting to go do the next thing...
Anyway, thanks for the advice. I can always use some! XD

Yes that's the point it would be boring! XD
