Description Just an experiment I was working on recently on a day I was feeling gloomy...

I feel that this portrays the moments after a long cry... In my experience, I usually have that time right after I cry, when I'm still sitting or laying down, kind of reflecting on why I had been crying...waiting to find the energy to get up and wipe away all the signs of sadness.

It's almost an accusatory look too...how I might look at someone who's hurt me...after I've finished crying.

wow...I love the way your make up ended...

I had a friend long ago who said that he had seen the most beautiful girl ever...And he started to describe to me the girl. By his description, she seemed a regular girl. But then he told me that the thing that attracted him the most was that she had black make up in her eyes and she had been crying, so her make up was like yours...I didn't understand what would be atractive in a girl with her make up ruined by tears...

But now that I have seen your photo I understand what my friend felt...

That is a very sweet comment...thank you kindly!!

Sometime beauty can be found in the oddest of things...it would seem you appreciate a different level of that now. I'm truly pleased that you like the way this photo turned out...make-up and all...

you should take more photos like this one...aproach the concept in other ways...I'm betting the photos will come out great but of course, I don't want you to cry because something sad happened, ok? besides, if that happens (hopefully not) you won't remember to take any photos...so there is a solution: Onions!

Try different make up, but don't forget: always black

I always appreciate good comments and suggestions...so thank you. You've been great about both thus far!

I've actually been tempted to ask my husband to just grab my camera the next time I'm really upset and crying about something. I think it would be interesting to get some shots of that...I dunno, though. I don't want it to make even more upset...but I think it could potentially make me feel better.

Onions definitely make me tear up! Sometimes that's a little more than just tears, though, so I'll have to see what I can do. Combine making supper with a photo session...could get interesting...

Of course...always black.

Thanks again for your suggestions...feel free to make them anytime!

you're welcome...And don't expect all of my comments to be always like these. I was just inspired by the photo

Yeah, it would be kinda strange if you are upset and your husband starts to take shots...Maybe the onions are the best way. At least you won't be sad... And you can cry whenever you want, so that you have the camera ready before slicing the onions

Noted...

I dunno...onions just doesn't seem the way to go for me, but we'll see...

Yes, I warn anyone about my eyes, whether they're smudged from crying, or I'm angry, or any extreme emotion...I think I speak a lot through my eyes. My spoken words can take their time to form when I'm feeling a lot of emotion, so I think I've taken to storing everything I want to say in my eyes until my words are ready to be purged...or until someone understands what I'm wanting to say and they speak first.

Congratulations! I would change nothing in this one...

Thank you. Most of the make-up was how I originally applied it before taking some of these photos. I used some eyedrops to get a little bit of the effect, and then most of it was just smeared... I added a few extra touches with photoshop, to emphasize certain things in each of the photos, though.

I'm so pleased that you liked it!

Now me, I don't see sadness in this picture. You look more like you are stalking something or someone. If I hadn't seen the other two pictures I would think the makup was war paint or something. Of course you know I have a sort of bent perception of things so that's the way I see it.

I wasn't genuinely crying that day. Nothing in particular made me feel sad, but I was definitely in just one of those moods. Unfortunately, though, I have felt like this many times... I just thought it would be an interesting experiment to try to recreate that look...even if it was slightly exaggerated...

I understood it was a recreation, but my wish was about that you never feel that way for real, however, if you ever feel you need to talk to someone because you are in a bad shape, you can count on me if you like to share anything or simply take something out of your chest.
Friends were made to lean on them when needed.
