Description A female warrior - a little cliche in terms of things, but it couldn't be helped. Looking to achieve that sense of motion, fluidity in her actions and pose, as well as the intensity of the scene on the whole. She rises from the ashes each night, protecting all those around her and fights with a passion that burns are bright as the sun.

3D character - rendered in Daz, based of Victoria and morphed how I wanted her. Products purchased.

The background my own resources and painted. Post work done in Photoshop

Hey there Deviantart community. I am building a gaming team as we have 5 people in the team so far and are continuously receiving more emails regarding joining. We need volunteers at the moment to help fill the roles for design, modeling and coding. Please email me at vxtream@gmail.com if your interested and... WOW that is good stuff!

Considering that there were precious few actual "warrior women" through out history I think this is one "cliche" we can live with.

Great image & great post work...good to see someone who renders 1st, then takes it further in PS

Thank you so much for the comment and the fav! You have a wonderful gallery And yes, I'm addicting to photoshop. I just wish I had use of the 3D Bridge! Life would be simpler, I believe LOL

yatesmon In reply to InertiaRose [2010-02-05 17:59:37 +0000 UTC]

thanks..your gallery is great too, I am suprised by how many don't 'postwork' on their renders, so it was great to see you do it too

I got the bridge working, kinda fluked it to be honest, run an 'activation blocker' for something else & it has disabled the bridge countdown..so for now it just runs...but I used to just open the jpegs in PS & swap over before loading in daz, worked a treat when working on people or objects...the rendering straight into PS is no real help anyway lol

Thanks for the tip! I actually did get it working the same way now -winks- but it's very finicky. I'd have to really see it improve before I shell out any money for it. It doesn't allow me to preview images any larger than 1000x1000 IF that. It just previews the size I request as a blank layer. I have to export it into PS as a .dae file, then it will allow me to preview the image after that, however then it doesn't update the model LOL! I think it needs updating lol

I feel better that I didn't buy it just yet as I'd be in tears by now about that haha xD

yatesmon In reply to InertiaRose [2010-02-06 21:49:38 +0000 UTC]

yep...mine is doing that today...preview is a blank layer!

the only thing I use is import layers to paint on them 'live'... I suppose it saves time

Love the facial expression and the pose; though there's something wrong with that right thigh!
The lighting works well in this one.
I think you did do a great job pulling off that sense of motion and fluidity you were going for
