You've managed to capture the detail in the sides of the bridge and the water directly in the foreground, so I literally feel, by looking at this, that I am behind the camera. If it were just a black arch, flat, with no detail, it would be cool, but not as realistic. It inspires a certain sense of wonder...what is beyond the bridge? I only get a measured glimpse. Fascinating.
One of my professors used to say that mystery was the one unifying quality for a "good shot". Something that keeps you coming back, keeps your eyes roving over the picture, looking for something, feeling something, asking something. You capture that mystery well in many of your pictures.

Thank you. It was kind of a lucky shot. I was on one of those little boat tours of the canal, and we just happened to float by this bridge. I liked it and got one shot.
