I've done a picture for this day for as long as I can remember. It's just a reflex now. They say you will never forget where you were when those planes hit the Twin Towers and I never will. I was sitting in art class when we heard about it and the whole room went quiet.

Now, since I can't draw buildings very well, I went with what I'm good at and that is a patriotic gryphon. I particularly like the little blue star on its head, not sure why. Don't really like how the far wing turned out...

Anyway, I doubt anyone can forget 9/11 and this is just my piece to show that I support our country and our troops.

We'll always recognize, when we see ol' glory flying,
There's a lot of men dead,
So we can sleep in peace at night when we lay down our heads.
My daddy served in the army where he lost his right eye,
But he flew a flag out in our yard 'til the day that he died.
He wanted my mother, my brother, my sister and me.
To grow up and live happy in the land of the free.

Now this nation that I love is fallin' under attack.
A mighty sucker-punch came flying in from somewhere in the back.
Soon as we could see clearly through our big black eye,

And the Statue of Liberty started shaking her fist.
And the eagle will fly and it's gonna be hell,
When you hear Mother Freedom start ringing her bell.
And it'll feel like the whole wide world is raining down on you.

This big dog will fight when you rattle his cage.
