THanks! Not really cosplay, I just did it for my Halloween get up. My parents were married on Halloween, so I am a warped child. this was more of a personal ambiton for me.

Well, it was do for my long-love of Morodr and the Evil themes of the books, and the movie costume was so cool, I just had to did it.
So, maybe it's fan-art, but the highest degree of it.

InKibus In reply to Psysaturn [2007-06-06 22:53:27 +0000 UTC]

Well, the Lord of he Rings.
It's one of the villians, the Servant of Sauron.
If you saw the 'Return of the King' in a movie theater, he wasn't in that.
His character was cut out in the final weeks of editing. There is a Special Extended Edition, which
is superior and adds him back in.
He's a vile messenger from Sauron who claims to have caught some of the heros and killed them.
He's some google images, you can see the one I based it around; [link]

I <3 the Mouth of Sauron.

I found you on Weta. This is completely uber, and I wish you to know that I utterly envy you and will TRY to refrain from killing you in your sleep, stealing this costume AND the fairy lights hat.

Thumbses upses.

Man, if my cats peed on my stuff three times when I was working on it, I would have gone ballistic. I admire your patience! Again, the helmet is totally awesome. The makeup is very effective as well - VERY creepy too!

Have you thought about sending some pictures of it all to John Howe? I'm sure he would be REALLY impressed.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

InKibus In reply to ColonelLiamRoss [2006-12-05 18:02:48 +0000 UTC]

Thanks! The makeup was mostly shadings of lip-stick and pale foundations.
Most of the time the teeth are my own....
Really, a mixed blessing to have appropriate teeth.
And I have posted on the Howe forum, and made it my new icon.
he usually refrains from saying things flat out, especially sinde there are so many
youthful artists wanting comments.

But he actually wrote to me privatly a few days ago commenting about my last piece of art,
abd that I've developed so much and I should keep up with my art....

ColonelLiamRoss In reply to InKibus [2006-12-12 01:17:16 +0000 UTC]

Oh wow! Kudos on your Howe comment - that must have been REALLY inspirational! Goodbye artist's block!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

InKibus In reply to ColonelLiamRoss [2006-12-14 02:17:43 +0000 UTC]

Artist's block flew right out the window.
Well, it wasn't the fact that Howe actually said 'Gee, you are ood."
he told me to keep working hard at it and I had a unique style.
I didn't think I could draw a few years ago.
And it really helps to print the letter out and wave it at my dad who might actually think i am really seriosu about this drawing business.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

ColonelLiamRoss In reply to InKibus [2006-12-16 20:28:46 +0000 UTC]

NICE!! That would be SO inspirational, especially to have him say that your style is unique (which it IS!)

Ha ha, take that, Dad!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

InKibus In reply to ColonelLiamRoss [2006-12-20 02:14:05 +0000 UTC]

Yes, I don't want to seem defiant, but sometimes it seems to take a long time for the fact my drawing passion is more than lil' hobby.

ColonelLiamRoss In reply to InKibus [2006-12-28 23:38:42 +0000 UTC]

Yup, I hear you. My father is the same way - it's quite frustrating, really. I'm know he's impressed to some degree but he always needs to make some stupid comment about uni-brows or something.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

InKibus In reply to ColonelLiamRoss [2006-12-30 02:23:53 +0000 UTC]

Yuuup, same here. I have caved at the beggin of him, my bro, and my grandfather, to do one female costume next Halloween.
Then I wanna do a Sith or the Trainman or something.
Actually, i will post this to Live Journal when i get a chance, but a female friend of mine was in a drepressed state that her husband was flustered she was constantly dressing ans Severus Snapes, and she loved to.
We're females, we dress as males and love it. We're not trying to intimidate males or push them aside....
And we do it because we love to, and frankly, I have never been into princess gowns or anything. Don't ask us why, we do.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

ColonelLiamRoss In reply to InKibus [2006-12-30 18:56:42 +0000 UTC]

AGH!! You caved??? Ha ha, no, that's okay! It will be a nice break to do something female (and it will probably make you like guy's stuff all the more!!) So do you know what you're going to do?

Hmmm...I feel bad for your friend, since I sort of know how she feels. I used to date a guy who was really super in a great many ways but he never quite got it through his head that I would rather wear dude's clothing when I did my costuming. He never got angry about it but he always seemed to be like: "Uhhh...wouldn't you rather wear girl's stuff?" Hell, no. But I think I drove the point home this Halloween - we went to a party at our friend's place and he kept saying: "Holy crap. You look SO much like Cassidy." Mwahaha. It's like he finally understood.

You're very right, though. We're not trying to push the guys away at all by doing this. In simplest terms, I think the guys would just rather date their girlfriends/wives than, you know, Severus Snape or Reed Cassidy.

Question... did we actually see the Mouth of Sauron stand up? I can't remember... need to watch the ROTK again to find out... my point is, the MOS could be short, that's why he sits on a horse all the time

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

InKibus In reply to NatalieAnne24 [2006-11-03 17:43:32 +0000 UTC]

You never see him stand in the movie or the documentary.
Because?
The actor playing him is super tall.
6feet 7 inches, which fits, in the book MoS is described as taller than most living men.
THe actor is so tall, in any interviews or pictures, he's usually seated.
Probably not to scare people.
I CANNOT FIND A WHOLE PICTURE OF HIM IN COSTUME STANDING.
in the costume gallery there is a much shorter double wearing the costume, which really was throwing my whole scaling-amounts off.
So, when someone finds a picture, send it to me.

SWORD! Incredible! Quite scary too, I think Halloween costumes should edge toward scary, and this definitely fits the bill.

InKibus In reply to Psychodelicategirl [2006-11-02 23:59:45 +0000 UTC]

Thank you!!!!
This was my viliest costume yet.
My dad actually whimpered something along the lines of 'Are you gonna do something pretty one of these years?"

Psychodelicategirl In reply to InKibus [2006-11-03 02:31:48 +0000 UTC]

As long as it's pretty scary.

MegamiJadeheart [2006-11-02 03:32:22 +0000 UTC]

I agree that you need a huge firebreathing horse ^_~ but as those are hard to come by, I'd have to say you did wonderfully scaling it to yourself. If you want to make your legs look longer, just tie your sword belt up around your ribs ^_^

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

InKibus In reply to MegamiJadeheart [2006-11-02 23:58:48 +0000 UTC]

Hey, if I tie my sword belt up higher, it might enhance my female parts! Nothing a minion of evil wants to happen.

Thanks alot!

MegamiJadeheart In reply to InKibus [2006-11-03 01:41:39 +0000 UTC]

Nothing a good ace bandage or two won't help hide ^_~ It took me three ace bandages and a corset to get me flat enough for my Italian men's outfit, and once my friend Cat did my make-up, my own mother didn't recognise me ~chuckle~

I honestly can't wait to see what you all deside to work on next

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

InKibus In reply to MegamiJadeheart [2006-11-03 17:39:20 +0000 UTC]

I was wearing on of those sort of flattener tops, and it sorta worked.
But, uh, let's just say I am chesty.
Annoying, but I have gotten a knack for hiding it.
And my dad din't recognize me, and didn't wanna recognize me.
He whimpered somehting like 'Inki, can you do something risque or pretty next year, please?"

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

MegamiJadeheart In reply to InKibus [2006-11-03 19:08:04 +0000 UTC]

Nothing wrong with being femanine in shape, but I find it funny that your dad is like "I have a pretty daughter, so why does she always want to dress up as scary men?" ~giggle~

It's not your fault that men's clothes are often cooler ^_~

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

InKibus In reply to MegamiJadeheart [2006-11-06 17:37:32 +0000 UTC]

I agree! The last I dresses as something femmie was Magenta from Rocky Horror.
Ever since then it's been med, and mostly villians!
Mens clothes are cooler, and villans are even cooler than that!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

MegamiJadeheart In reply to InKibus [2006-11-11 09:32:55 +0000 UTC]

~laugh~ My friend ran a floor show for Rocky Horror, and she put me in the Magenta costume she had for it. It was about 2 sizes too small, almost refused to button, and showed about two inches of my underwear from either direction . . . She said it was perfect ^^,

I love men's clothing, and I love evil men especially ~grin~ they have the _best_ fashion taste sometimes ^_^

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

InKibus In reply to MegamiJadeheart [2006-11-11 23:15:10 +0000 UTC]

Ohhh, I am an avid RHPS devotee.
Yep, my sister said you were tall?
That just adds to the fun of a too-small dress for a Magenta!

Yeah, mens clothing! Evil, dark clad villian mens clothing, yum!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

MegamiJadeheart In reply to InKibus [2006-11-12 13:05:02 +0000 UTC]

I've never been to a live show, but I think it sounds like fun ^_^ I'm not nearly as into it as my friend.

I'm 5'11, and all leg, so . . . yeah I'm tall ^_^, I think the woman the dress was made for was 5'4 . . .

~chuckle~ It's all the clothes, isn't it? ^_~ At one point I was at a concert with a friend, drooling visibly over the wonderful (tight black leather, gothy zipper) pants the lead singer was wearing, and my friend leaned over and said "I'll distract him. You steal the pants, and I get what's left. Deal?"

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

InKibus In reply to MegamiJadeheart [2006-11-14 17:28:58 +0000 UTC]

LOL! That sounds like my mum or my sister when they see a guy they find cute and is well dressed!
"Yeah, okay, he's cute. You can have him, just make sure I get the jacket!"
