HEY I HAVEN'T BEEN MEANING TO DO THIS FOR AGES OR ANYTHING.
Because TINTIN.
You may or may not have noticed that I list my favourite artist as "G.R. Hergé" in my DA info area; yes, I'm QUITE a big fan. I just don't draw fanart (until now, lol). If you haven't read the comics, READ THEM! OR if you INSIST, wait and see the movie.
...THEN read them.Couple of notes:

#9- My brother and I made the observation a LONG time ago that Mr. Baxter seems to spend an awful lot of time using the phone; I recently calculated that he spends 15% of his "screentime" involved with a phone

I also grew up reading Tintin, I know its stupid but it saddens me to see it often over looked due to the rising popularity of manga. Im glad they made the movie, now so many more people are aware of Belgium's finest hero! I love your art style as well

It was produced by Eclipse/Nellvana and aired from 1991-93, they used to play it in the afternoons on Nickelodeon, they have the full run of 39 episodes on Netflix.

Haha, good to find another one of the 6 Americans who love Tintin. My father would read me the comics when I was a little girl. We have the 3-stories-in-one book. The animations were awesome, watching them again on netflixs right now.

ahaha, your meme is awesome!, I was 4 years old when I met Tintin (1993) pretty late but I love his adventures and misadventures too X3 I watched the show too, in 1994-95 and actually I own the show collection, it's my greatest treasure

i saw it, loved it, shall see it again!
i was almost brought to tears at points, because they followed the books soooo well (even though they did combine some adventures and mix around the time line to help it make sense)
but certain scenes, like when Tintin meets the captain, are carbon copies, panel by panel! i love it

Here in Europe, Tintin is really big. But don't worry, there are a few American fans of Tintin, so your not alone. But because of the Tintin movie, the Tintin fans in America will hopefully increase. You got a lot of merchandise by the way.
My dad bought the Tintin comics when he was younger and he still has them. Because of this, I already had a bookcase full of "De avonturen van Kuifje", the Dutch version of the comic. Some of those comic are in bad shape because of their age, but I still read them all.
I also really liked the two comics where Tintin goes to the moon. That part where Calculus goes crazy was really funny. He wasn't called a goat in the Dutch version though, but an "onnozele", a silly, stupid or dumb man.

My mom got her first book at age six : The Black Island...in French. Now we have all of them but about 5. The movie is awesome.

I believe I'm also one of the aforementioned six American fans... And that's only because I traveled to Europe ages ago and discovered him there. It's really disappointing that you can't find many of the books where I live, but maybe the movie will bring in more American fans?
