That’s a very good question! I’m not entirely sure what alien would COMPLIMENT her powers, let alone an alien that would be the opposite.

I was actually thinking about Upgrade as well! He just seemed a bit too high tech for a blacksmith, but then again I think she’d still make the best of him! Either Upgrade or Jury Rigg would fit.

I was actually thinking of making Ruby’s conflicting alien fusion as Big Chill, but maybe Arctiguana could fit her?

While giving unique ones to Ruby and Sapphire separate from Garnet would be interesting, I also think it would be too complicated to do narratively. If anything, I think Grey Matter still contradicts Ruby’s character very well. But it would benefit Sapphire, having an interesting effect on their relationship (i.e. Garnet)

Well you stated multiple times you wanted the aliens to clash with the Gem powers. Out of all of them Lapis/Heatblast fits the bill the best.

I feel like literally every misses the point completely with this lil project.

The gems being fused with these particular forms are supposed to be IRONIC. The forms they get stuck with either conflict with their personality, skill set/powers, or both. It's supposed to be a joke.
