I think this is a wonderful capture. The position the frog is in gives balance to the whole photograph. His contrast to the leaf he is on really makes him pop out and directs attention straight to the subject. I really can't find much of anything wrong with it. I'm not much of a photographer, but I appreciate it just as much as painting or drawing or any other art form. I do have an addiction to reptiles and amphibians, so you might believe my opinion could be somewhat biased, but I believe you have succeeded in capturing a great image.

Thank you for your generous critique. I am quite pleased with this one, and it's not often she poses for me, it's usually her partner.

She does doesn't she, which is really unusual for this little girl, it's usually the male that gives me the good images.

Lovely lizards. We have anoles, leopard geckos, ackies, a veiled chameleon, a beardie and a desert horned lizard. We are rather fond of lizards.

Wow! That's a pretty impressive collection to say the least, does it not cost an arm and a leg to keep them?!

Yes it does. lol
What with food of around £30 a week, and then electric on top for lighting and heating (about £20 a week) and substrate and bits for cleaning they cost us a fortune, but they're well worth it.

Each herp has its own specific requirements. The best advice anybody can give is do your research first. Look up care sheets to find each species requirements, and don't forget to check how big they get and how long they live. Both could surprise you for a lot of species.
