Description Drake, our Green Anole. The turquoise colour around the eyes when these lizards are their light green shade is absolutely beautiful.
Green Anoles have a dewlap, a flap of skin at their throat, that they can extend and display for certain instances such as courtship and territorial disputes. They are a pinky red in colour and you can just about see Drake's relaxed dewlap in this image. I am endeavouring to get a shot of it extended, along with Yoshi's (which has a yellow border as well). Drake was displaying today but I missed it.

Green Anole.

yea.. wish I had them around me house too. what a great shot this is. Really like the composition on this.. the way the fella peaks from behind the leaves. The colors are really soft and give the image a dreamy effect. well shot xx

Thank you. They are fascinating little lizards. I wish we had them wild over here.
