Of tears
On the cold floor?
Does it make you happy to know
That the tears I cry burn me
As they streak down, down
My cheeks?
Does it make you happy to know
That when I hurt you
A sharp needle
Is pushed into my heart?
Does it make you happy to know
That I don't mean to hurt you
But when I do
I have to suffer too?
Does it make you happy to know
When I disappoint you
And you leave me
A pool of black self-hatred burns me to nothing?
Does it make you happy to know
That when you leave me
I scream and scream
Until my anguished cries cannot escape me no more?
Does it make you happy to know
That I've written a heap of useless words
In a stupid poem
That will never, ever
Matter to you?
