Roman, a liiiittttlllleee problem. I think a better way to sort this is not make it all one layer. It would make it easier and faster, and a lot cleaner. C:

InsaneRoman In reply to Apparratus [2012-05-23 22:47:51 +0000 UTC]

I don't know how to upload it that way!

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Apparratus In reply to InsaneRoman [2012-05-24 05:13:14 +0000 UTC]

Just save it as a photoshop file with different layers to make it easier to color and whatnot. And then make a jpg preview. ^-^

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

InsaneRoman In reply to Apparratus [2012-05-24 20:22:44 +0000 UTC]

Hmm. I'll see what I can do without photoshop. I'm not 100% positive, but I think I can save things as a .psd file with SAI.

Aww, this is sooper adorable Roman! I love the paws and the thick lines and the in general cuteness. I think the background is a little distracting and not as 'default' as the rest of the stuff, but it ties in nicely.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

InsaneRoman In reply to Kiterrax [2012-05-23 20:07:49 +0000 UTC]

I was thinking about changing out the background. Ideas?

Kiterrax In reply to InsaneRoman [2012-05-23 23:47:01 +0000 UTC]

A simple darker grey might work, but it might be a bit boring. Something neutral and simple will be good. :'D

InsaneRoman In reply to Lpssparkle123 [2012-05-24 20:27:02 +0000 UTC]

Here ya go! You can download it here for free: [link]

Totally not copy/pasting from my journal haha

Step 1: If you don't have paint.NET downloaded to your computer, do it now. It's completely free, easy to use, and it's what I admittedly use in my watermarking and editing process. I recommend using filehippo.com to download it.

Step 2: Open up the image you would like to watermark in paint.NET. Once you have that open, add another layer above it by hitting the green plus sign in the layers box.

Step 3a: If you are using a text watermark, select the text option on add the desired text, font and size in the top layer.

Step3b: If you are looking to use an image watermark, open the desired image in paint.NET and make sure it has a transparent background. Select the image and copy it to your clipboard. Then paste it onto the second layer of your artwork. Be sure to keep the canvas size the same while you are doing this. You can rework the size and placement there.

Step 4: Double click on the top layer in the layer box. The bottom slidey thing will alter the transparency of the top layer. Mess with the opacity until you have the watermark effect you desire.

Step 5: Save and agree to merge the layers. You're done!
