I saw Cavalia last weekend and it was so magical and entertaining. I love horses! They're so hard to draw though.There was a horse in the show with a super long mane and I'm not really exaggerating it in the drawing. The people looked kinda like Lord of the Rings elves and the tricks they taught the horses were really impressive.

yeah, i went to the show two nights ago in Calagary! you do not lie! the guys look exactly like elves (no jokes, everyone) and the horses were incredible. best night of my life

As one of their occasional photographers, I have to say, brava! Indeed a great Disney-feel with a super rendition of the set/lighting.

Cavalia is a show created by a former director from Cirque du Soleil. It features acrobatic performers wearing Lord of the Rings like costumes and all sorts of beautiful horses. The music is awesome and the show takes place in a big top tent that travels all over the world!

I would be surprised if Cavalia was not on Wikipedia- you might want to look there. The stallion's name is a very lovely one, though. I just loved his mane...
Yes, I thought they looked like LotR elves, too!! That was just what I was thinking when I was watching the show! They get along with horses like elves, too.

No, Templado is the horse, and the book is about him. Amazing story, that stallion has been through a lot. Though lately I've heard that he's been pulled from the show . . . he's getting older I guess

Yeah it's really good. Boy, that horse went through a lot. Although, lately I've heard that he's had a bad bout of colic, so I'm hoping that he'll be okay . . . he's old, and traveling is hard on him. He's not performing anymore, he's just touring with them.

I saw Cavalia while it was in DC last October. I absolutely adored that show. The horses were gorgeous, and they all were happy and healthy. You can't have a free-range performance like that unless you had happy and trusting horses.
I saw the horse with the long mane. According to the playbook, that one was a white Friesian, and the other white horses were Lusitanos. And of course, you can't discount the quarter horses. 
Either way, this is a lovely picture. It really captures the spirit of the show!

Well done matey, this is really good! However if you want a little advice? The left hind looks kind of twisted. The hoof would be facing more forward and the rump would be larger. (I went to an equestrian college, so I made notes for sketching ^.^)
