a sea-turtle made in Cape Salou, Spain this June
As I'm not a sun-hunter, I usually think of some alternative way to spend my time on a beach (if I have to be there at all), so after building some castles I remembered *yuumei 's [link] article about BP's oil split...
...& so I made the turtle, took me an hour or so; it's neither for the contest, nor 'an unhappy thing, suffocating in oil' (though it might be)... Still it was damaged by some people passing by, right before my eyes. It was easy to repair though, much easier than a population of real creatures...
