The body armor suit or the purple suit with the zippers and what not? I know the purple suit evokes Yvonne Craig's TV Batgirl costume (RIP) but something about it looks a little... off to me.Β

Yeah, it has sort of a cosplayer feel to it. At best it looks like something a year one Babs might put together, it doesn't look like it could stand up to abuse.Β

I just wish BTAS had more heroines in it. There were many female characters in the show, yet it had pretty much TWO that weren't villains

At the time they could only use certain characters. JLU they were given a lot more flexibility. It was just a sign of the times.

French and British is kind of low-hanging fruit since they're considered 'good guys' in US media (Despite British actors often coming up trumps to play villains in Hollywood), Russia and Germany are weird ones when it comes to female heroes, since the villainesses are more frequently portrayed as their authentic nationalities and heroines from those countries are usually portrayed in a very Americanized light (i.e. they just have American accents instead of their native accents - See Black Widow, and Amanda Sefton's only speaking portrayal was in X-Men Evolution, where she was just portrayed as a normal American and was about as German as a Burger King restaurant in Springfield. I think Linka from Captain is the only Slavic heroine that has the accent, and i don't think there are any female heroes with German accents at all)
I think a lot of media tries to stroke the American ego by making several foreign villains, and making pretty much all the heroes American, maybe they'll have one foreign member of the good guys, but it's usually either a Latino heartthrob, or a wise Asian.
Kim Possible is a good example of this, the villains had Duff Killigan (Scottish), Monkey Fist (English), Dementor (German), The Senors (Mexican father and son villains), Fukushima and the big sumo guy from 'So The Drama' (Japanese), Electronique (Slavic) and suppose Warhok & Warmonga could count since they were aliens. While pretty much all the heroes in the KP show were Americans, and the only 3 non-american allies/characters that weren't villains were Yori, Sensei and Zita Flores (2 wise Asians and a cute Latino girl)

Well superheroes did originate in the US... It's only natural they portrayed themselves as the good guys. But there are lots of heroes and villain from around the world. it akes some looking but there are plenty

Maybe it's an autism thing for me, but I've just been getting really frustrated looking for a German heroine that's actually portrayed as a German and not ruined by an American accent. At least there are a few examples of times male heroes have had the German accent - Nightcrawler had one in X-men TAS, the caterpillar in 'A Bug's Life', any hero played by Arnold Schwarzenegger, and the "Not to men like you!" guy that stood up to Loki in The Avengers.
But female German characters - No heroines have the accent, and accents are generally reserved for nazi-themed villainesses

Yeah...but that's not surprising considering the Nazis are eternally cast as the big bad... and therefore are the archetype for everything from, Hydra to the Daleks

I do count Austrians, Swiss-Germans, Luxembourgers, Liechtensteiners and German Walloons (From the German-speakng region Belgium) to be German as well, but there doesn't seem to be any female heroes from those places either
