Screw sense, it just looks cool, and odds are when they make a toy out of it, there's gonna be an option where you can shoot the lightsaber beam as a bullet.

Oh well, at least the whole blaster/lightsaber combo is new, maybe it'll carry over into the movies.
Also, on a semi unrelated note, anyone else think that Kanan's master was Ahsoka and that Hera might be a cyborg? Β I know that the last one seems unlikely, but think about it, she never takes off that jumpsuit, and she made sure Sabine didn't take that specially marked crate (spare body parts?), so I say there's some possibility of that.

I've seen a few episodes of Rebels and it's pretty cool. It's closer to the original trilogy. Ezra has room for improvement.

I just find most of the characters to be one-dimensional, annoying, or just straight-up stupid.
Take the Inquistior for example. A scary as hell alien with Sith eyes, and a spinning dual blade. Sounds great right? It would be if he could actually use the force.
Without that, he's just dumb. Kanan shouldn't have had problems kicking his ass, rusty or no.

Yeah it does have that "A New Hope" feel for the dysfunction among the crew, that or Guardians of the Galaxy.Β Either way it's nice to see that the group isn't a smooth, well oiled machine even though most of them have been together for a while.

Exactly.Β Strong personalities, sometimes they clash.Β Ezra's just the latest to upset their dynamic.Β I'd say it's a bit more 'Empire Strikes Back' myself though, like how Chewie and Han were always arguing despite being friends, and Leia and Han were fighting over their affections.Β The show definitely has an 'Original Trilogy' vibe to it though, if that's what you meant.
