How do you manage to colour things so good that the scanner doesn't eat them?! I demand to know the secret!!

I shall try my best!! Firstly, I do a really light layer of shading. Usually in one direction, making sure I distinguish where in the picture should be darker/lighter. Then I do another light layer in the opposite direction, while making sure the picture's shading is consistent. Then I just go by eye. If it needs another layer, I would go over it again and so on......Finally when the picture looks good, I smack it in the scanner. It might take a bit of practice to get the colours looking good. Just experiment a lot and I am sure you will find what works for you. >.<Good luck!!! If you need any more help, let me know!!!

That sounds like a lot of work. BUT I SHALL DO MY BEST!!....now I just need to draw a picture to shade.
