Stunning painting, and Ezra is wonderful as ever!
Love the detail and texture in his fur, but my eye is really drawn to that bg - the intensity of colour is stunning, and I love how painterly and simple it looks yet still realistic, detailed and full of atmosphere! <3

Yeah the background came first as... me messing with different shades of red. LOL. I love painting in Sai SO much, and it was fun to just paint some random rocky desert landscape. It was so relaxing. ^_^

Ah, yes, I've noticed... hehe, though in terms of random painting, my random painting is done in GIMP. 
It does look like it was relaxing to draw though... and speaking of drawing I've finally picked up the courage to do something with a background, but annoyingly I may have came up with the most complicated sky ever.
Cumulonimbus clouds with a hint of electric energy showing through, more whispy clouds to the other side, rays of penetrating light, very distant lightning, oh, and snow too...
WAAAAAAAAAAAY beyond my minutely small technical ability, but... I've started it so I'll finish it... EVENTUALLY. :'D

Ah, well I love how skies look, but I hate how MY skies look, I have always struggled with them rather a lot, hopefully this one will be an improvement but I can't really tell myself if it's just as bad as all the rest of them.
Ha, yep, poor cloud choice indeed - I don't think I've EVER just done a plain simple gradient sky before, my brain always goes "Nope, that's too easy, I'm not going to let you get away with that!".
