According to the lore, Bolas is maybe around 15k years old to Niv's 10k. Niv might as well be an elder dragon. Brilliant idea having them play chess, but I feel like Niv's mathematical edge will prevail against Bolas' cunning.

The thing you have to remember is that while Niv-Mizzet is over 10,000 years old, Nicol Bolas is EASILY several times that. He has such huge reservoirs of black mana built up over time that his mere touch shatters minds.
