Description
Atlas 8017 has been hearing words about a mysterious graveyard in an unknown location. Being the explorer he is, he sets off on a quest to find it. He searches for days, and as soon as he begins to question whether he was misled or not, a warm rain shower falls from the skies above and uncovers a hidden clue within the mud.

Wew!! So I was hoping to try a simpler/quicker method when it came to this piece and.. it kind of worked I think? I was mainly wanting to test out a slightly more stylized/relaxed style, in the case that I wanted to do more quick ARPG pictures in the future. The main issue I ran into with this was the color scheme, and the way it ended up greatly affecting what type of things I started rendering out in the background when I would sorta randomly mix different colors into it lol. It caused me to rework the background a bunch of times because I simply was struggling to decide on the mood/theme. This image had a bit of a mind of its own, like I didn't even think I'd be adding rain until the very end.
I think in my next pieces I want to try using slightly more limited color palettes at first, to avoid me being indecisive/adding random colors without knowing the purpose for them!

I was feeling kinda Night in the Woods-y while making this, I listened to the soundtrack a few times and ended up listening to Dusk Stars on repeat at the end. I think the song suits the final colors/mood it turned out having pretty well!
