A glimpse of Saik's childhood. Though her handler was mostly careful to make sure his beatings never left visible damage, the damage done to Saik's mentality and self esteem was extensive. Saik would be abused for any little thing, for being too short, for being second in class, for missing a target, for pleading for him to stop. Saik slowly developed a strong mental defense for handling the abuse, but it was too late, and her mind became broken.

Saik was lucky though. After graduating from training she managed to get put in Thymel's division. Though she started off in a low unit, her hard work (burned into her by her handler) paid off, and she was put into a squad directly under his command. Thymel managed to fix Saik, or at least, make her smile again. She felt safe when she was in the army. It was like a family that didnt hurt or abuse her.

So, it made it hurt so much more when she was kicked out.
And thus, her mind broke completely.
