Hehe .. it does look like a fire hazard yeah but it is far from one. Actually this path is the only decent patch of relatively dry earth in a whole area of swamps and ponds.

That's a freaky affect you've got going on by chance- just infront of the darkening is a section that's more blurry, so at first glance you think it's a photomanip. Whoooa, very fun.
