Benjee

What are Benjee?
Benjee are large, fluffy monsters that hunt for their food.
They are about the size of a horse,
and yes, you can ride them.
They can walk on either all fours or their hind legs and can use their front paws fairly well as hands.
Their anatomy can vary, depending on their subspecies. Still their paws are always bearlike, also their head looks always the same.
Their bright markings are used to attract prey and partners.
The Benjee have only one set of internal reproductive organs, but their organs can shift and change. Two Benjee are necessary to create an offspring, and the act involves one Benjee's organs shifting to make space and the other Benjee's organs shifting to become temporarily external (and thus allow penetration). The act of creating an offspring between two Benjee must be entirely consensual. Some Benjee may also shift their organs to disallow any mating whatsoever..
Behavior
They are predators; meaning they hunt for their food. Though they mostly eat meat they can also eat anything else, similar to the human diet.
They have a huge variety of personalities, thought they are said to be mostly friendly towards other intelligent species.
Living either as individual or in small groups of up to five Benjee, in some parts of the world they do actually live in bigger groups (colder regions, such as the antarctica)
Depending on the size of the group, young Bens leave their parents at the age of an young adult or stay if the group is big. Benjee's of individual parents are more likely to leave them and venture on their own.
They communicate through speech, though also through grunts and other noises.
Whenever they feel distress or any other strong emotions their gums, teeth, eyes and paw pads start to glow. This is a soothing behavior to sooth themselves and others, to avoid fights.

Younglings

They do not have claws yet, having no use for them since either their parents hunt and/or their diet contains fruits and vegetables.
They are a bit wobbly on their legs until they each puberty and remind one strongly on freshly born puppies.
The glowing parts on their body are glowing a lot stronger than those of adults, to sooth themselves and others if they are in distress.
Their body proportions are a bit different, meaning bigger head, huge eyes and paws.
They walk on their full hindlegs, this changes as soon as they reach puberty.

How can I get one and what am I allowed to do with them?
Adoptables, MYOs, Auctions, DTAs... there will be enough oopportunities
After I or burrdog approved of your Ben you are entitled to keep it the way it is. You are /not/ allowed to change it unless we've stated so. You are allowed to change and add accessories as you wish.
You are allowed to resell them for the same price or less than you purchased them, thought please check with either me or burr before you do in case we want to purchase it back from you.
