"Matriarch Bara'döl must be out of her mind! To take THAT man as her champion? She should control her urges and not accept random men into her personal guard! He looks like trouble."
"Stop that, my dear. You are just embarrassing yourself. Being openly jealous of the matriarch won't do you any good."
"Hmf."
"Good girl. Don't worry. Enough men wish for a place in your guard, or should I say your bed? Besides, You are right about one thing. The man definitely means trouble. Starchans always do."

This is Karu'lim Starchan of House Awchkente. He's a zachkwet, an agent, a man trained to work for highest ranking women in the House. The women choose them in a tourney, where they show their skills. Matriarch of the House chooses first and takes the best. Those zachkwets she finds worthy are often chosen to sire few of her children, but only if they haven't bonded with another woman (because bond of love is sacred to Vequim).

Basically, I wanted to draw a nice Vequim mask, since the one I drew earlier was total crap.
Markers and pencils.

Lovely colours, as usual, and the mask looks cool. That's also a wonderful braid he's got going on there!

Well, all the masks Vequim wear should look awesome . They use them instead of showing their faces. And the only one I drew looked really, really bad. Now I'm working on a picture of Vequim matriarch, and I quite like her mask too, even if it's much less....extravagant, then I imagined at first. I'm not good at extravagant.

Yes...what wouldn't I give for Vequim hair. Long, silvery white and curly? I'd braid it too
Though the braid is suspiciously short....I wonder what had he done with his hair.
