The idea of this couple has been stuck in my head since I've first painted Anubis as an elegant gentleman. Also I changed my first design of Bastet to make her fit this version of Anubis. More mythology couples are on they way!

Anubis: Sleeping on the couch again, are we? Do you know how long it takes to clean all your hair out of the fabric?
Bastet: I am far, far, FAR too hung over for your sh*t, 'Bis. And speaking of, what did we agree about your smoking indoors?
Anubis: That it was suave and attractive.
Bastet: No, that I'd shred your tie if I ever caught you doing it again.
Anubis: Like I'd foot you the bill for the cleaners if I caught you sleeping on the couch again. We spent all that money on your weave-bed!
Bastet: Not so loud. My head is pounding harder than Vulcan's drums were last night-
Anubis: The Roman gods again? No wonder you're suffering. I told you, stick to the Greeks.
Bastet: I did. Once they get drunk enough the Roman gods become the Greek gods. Or... vice versa, whatever - you want your tie intact or not?
Anubis: You want to pay for another cleaner's tab?
Bastet: ... fine. I'll try to make it to my room when I get drunk after partying with the various pantheons.
Anubis: And I'll keep my underworld habits... in the underworld, I suppose. Deal?
Bastet: Deal. Now, can I finish my nap?
