They watch it together, after they've met up at the safe house. He notices her jaw tighten at the botched attempt and hits pause. "Everything all right?" he says.

"Told you we shouldn't have let Jenkins do it," she says. "That's a mess I'll have to clean up in the morning."

He's quiet for a moment. Then he smiles a little and pours her another glass of scotch. "But in the morning."

She accepts it with a discontented grunt. "You're trying to get me drunk."

"I'm trying to get us drunk." He hits rewind. "You and Shahri can review what went wrong next time. Right now, we're playing a drinking game. One drink for every time Lucretia Enyo titters."

She snorts, but he can see the beginnings of a grin on her face. "Two for every time Chen looks like he wants to punch me in the face."

He laughs then, pulls her close and kisses the top of her head. "I said drunk, not dead."
