Wallace vs Annette

Annette had her pokemon out by the time the door had slammed shut behind Wallace. He glanced over his shoulder, then back forward, his face hidden by the shadow casted by his hat and GRN scarf wrapped tightly about his neck. Before Wallace had the chance to give a command, her Dugtrio had buried itself in the subway's seats. Udders stepped forward for the attack but Wallace held out his hand. They waited, listening to the sounds of the wheel on steel, Annette's heavy breathing, and the rumble of the tracks. Finally, Wallace pointed, and Udders ran, spinning into a rollout near the seat by Annette. For a moment it seemed Wallace's pokemon would hit the trainer, had not Dugtrio dug out at the last moment, allowing Udders' attack to hit head on. The attack rattled the car, and as the sounds of battle and trainer's screams filled the tunnel, Wallace wondered if this was the real beginning of the Hyperion Conference, or just a taste of what was to come.

Hours upon hours of confounded shading. I had to switch from SAI to Photoshop constantly for color corrections and effects, lost this file twice, but still managed to finish just in the nick of time. Happy how it turned out, but I hope I didn't make Annette look too old. I was going by the description of how she tends to look a bit older in battle, and more serious when things start up. Hopefully it's correct! Let the fun begin!
