Description
This is for !I started PKMN Club at my school and this is for our Art Tournament~
It's like a little OCT only in RL
Anyways so I'm facing my freshman friend Heather. I picked her Arcanine to fight against my Skarmory, Karabiner. Arcanine is using Flame Wheel and Karabiner is using Rock Slide.
I really like how the poses came out, I tried to make it pretty dynamic. The shading is bothering me tho, I think my shading is still too light. Hmm
But I'm getting a lot better at fire! I used the same technique that I did in the Junction pic. This is the tutorial I used, it's very helpful-[link]

when shading something with fire in the pic the shadows should be very harsh and dark almost lice cell shading because it doesn't reflect much

hmmm...the lighting on the bird may be a bit light, but the wolf fox guy, he looks perfect to me, maybe a tiny bit darker in places but not really. great poses

Yeah the lighting overall should be darker, because the brighter the highlights the darker the shadows.

I have a hard time with too-light shading too. I've been learning that if you think it's going to look way too dark, it's probably perfect. Also it helps to do some preliminary shading, go away, then come back and realize that it's not shaded enough and fix it.
