I just read your blog. Yeah, self-portraits suck when you're jumping back and forth! I totally agree.
Did you do any editing by your arm that's resting on your knee?

I used a levels layer to make the background dimmer, but that was the only 'specific' thing I did. Otherwise it was just the regular contrast etc. tweaking for the whole picture.
So no, didn't do anything particular to the arm. Why? What does it look like?
