What, professional? No, for sure not. When I entered dA, I had not even the intention to post something, but somehow the whole thing here had an influence on me, after some time. One could say, I got inspired... to do two manipulations to existing images, let a program create some fractals and uploaded some photos.
If that would be a level 10 one some artificial measurement scale I just made up in my mind, the people who are working on the Angel Falls thing are operating on level 3000 at least. Linear scale.
Actually I had some ideas for "super heroes"...
- the 1st one was dropped when I realized that his powers could never make sense.
- the 2nd one is too weak and is afraid to get discovered.
- and the 3rd one is too powerful to be interested in earth stuff. He deals with stars.
And there are no stories, just fragments of ideas of characters, too little to make a little story out of it. And I cannot draw or something. (I'm too impatient and too little determined to learn it and - I have a job.)

Have you seen some on the Angel Falls things meanwhile (other than this one)? Impressive, huh? I really have no idea how they do it, kicking off such a project - for fun, mind you - and keep it running and well integrated with lots of artists of different kinds. I surely am impressed.

I'm not sure what you mean. Imagination-wise - the 2nd one is nearest to my real-world self and he was meant to be me with powers.
He got reinforced by an alien device and became 3 or 4 times stronger than a human of his size should be (think Commander Data, only a bit shorter), he also became about 3 times as heavy (so he cannot swim anymore).
The 1st one and the 3rd one were not meant to be me in any way.

Well, having some ideas is probably not enough for something "serious", as the Angel Falls project is. I guess it might be enough for funnies or a very short one-time thing where not much of background is needed...

Right... at least sort of. I know that I could learn to draw, with a lot of time and practice. But I decided that it's too much effort. At least now, in my actual state of life. There are other things I can do better than drawing and maybe I even have a bit of talent for this or that. So I don't draw and do the other things instead. Writing stories - I don't think that I have any talent for that. So, precisely, once in a while I wish I could create some artwork, but it's just a little wish.
