Description sketch for a pic I'm going to colour. After reading Notre-Dame and banging my head against the wall while watching Disney's movie (not that I don't like it, but the book is more...intense, and "rated" )...I decided Pierre Gringoire, the poet/philosopher, needs more attention . I love Bruno Pelletier as him in the French musical of the same name (NDdP), so my G. is a bit based on him...
probably much will change during coloring. I never drew a goat before...and yep, Djali is female and Gringoire just loves her (la jolie chèvre!).

Oh, I just love this one OwO It's perfect! I'd love to see him in Disney's movie. *favourite* (sorry if my comment didn't made any sense. It's 01:24 AM atm x) just felt that I had to write something!)

yay for Gringoire!!! Instant like! He and Jehan really soften the blows with all the tragedies the book hurls at us. And of them. I'm so happy at least Djali gives Gringoire the respect he deserves.

I realize this is a bit late but this is an amazing character design. Gringoire is without a doubt my favorite character in that book--I have most of his sections marked off with a Post-It note so I can just flip right to the hilarity if reading about everybody else's AAAAAAAANNNNNNGSSST gets too depressing. At least Gringoire's short attention span doesn't allow for excessive angst. :] It looks like you caught him mid-monologue here. Your linework is so nice and clean, and I love especially his face and hands. And Djali's expression. Faved!

[link] You'll probably like this website. It'sFULL of information about the book, and the author is a diehard Gringoire fan.

Yes, every book just kinda needs this "comic relief" I think and he was just great.

Awww... this is a really cute pic! I admire Pierre for his sensitivity and gentle kindness, which are almost impossible to find in most male characters. w00t Hooray for Gringoire!

MAN HE PICKED THE GOAT! That always bothered me. Everyone might have lived had he not picked the freakin' goat. This looks very nice, like if Bruno were a Disney character.
