Description In a future where humanity has advanced enough to settle on other planets and moons in its own solar system as well as establish trade and travel, being a "space cadet" because the generalized term among humans for any role that entails leaving the solar system, and encapsulates all manners of reasons for long distance traveling, as going between planets became as common as air-travel

Bishop Coriolis, a human living in Jupiter's Galilean neighborhood on the frozen moon Europa (along with the moons Io, Ganymede, and Callisto), has dreamed of being a space cadet ever since he was a young kid, and while having the brains to pass any written exams with flying colors, his quickly growing boredom of the dark and cold environment of his frozen home planet has drove him to some acts of mischief, teetering on being punishable misdemeanors.
While being smart enough to not have any sort of criminal record, his behavior was noted and made it harder for him to even apply to being a space cadet. However, his intellect and knack for tech handling and making home-made gadgets didn't go unnoticed, either - especially after an airlock mishap during community service has left him outside the domed settlement on the frozen surface, having his thermal gear and custom made helmet as means to extend the time he can stay outside, during which he had managed to figure out how to establish communication with the team inside and figure out a way to safely return inside.

His tendency for mischief may have still barred him from any diplomatic or security travel, but Bishop ended up landing a position on a trade-ship (designation: CH-355) with a mixed crew of 5 other members. This was plenty for the young man's curious mind, allowing him a low-risk chance to explore space outside his planetary neighborhood.
Early in his line of work his team discovered a landshark pup stowaway on their ship, perhaps an attempted smuggle during one of their docking, but instead of surrendering the pup to authorities as most of the team suggested, Bishop took a shine to the lost creature and insisted they adopt and train her. Named Tama, the crew's new pet quickly made the team her new pack and seemed to enjoy the attention and travel, as they found ways to train her to help around as she grew bigger, registering her as an honorary member of the team.

[ More of said crew members may be eventually drawn, too ]
