Description
The idea of this drawing was to place a familiar story, SnowWhite and the Seven Dwarfs, in a futuristic environment. What if Snow White was from another planet, also the Dwarfs, and the Prince was a lost terrestrial astronaut?This drawing was done for the Expression 6.0 of Hysterical Minds collective:

The theme for the artists was "Le glamour, l'amour et la mort".

The piece has a nice composition. The eye is drawn to the torch at the upper left corner, then descends in an arc to the middle right (were the green dwarfs are discovered), then down to the lower left (containing the glass coffin of Snow White).
There are three areas of bright colors that pop out of the pale background: Prince Charming's space suit, the dwarf's skin, and Snow White's coffin. They anchor the three points of the composition, and ensure that the characters do not run together or become lost in a busy background.
The bright jewel-like highlights are a nice accent. The anatomy of the various characters is expertly done, and has an almost sculptural three-dimensionality about them (not because of light and shadow, but due to the form and sense of muscle over the bone).

I absolutely love this piece! The outside-the-box mentality this has gives the backstory a whole, fresh new twist! I love it!
The way you’ve lit the piece is wonderful! The shadows, reflections, and glares are all perfect-not a one out of place. The fact that you lit the piece by the “Prince’s” torch is great! it gives the scene a subterranian feel that perfectly reflects the mining background of the dwarves/aliens.
The amount of detail you placed in this piece is fantastic. I love the texture you used on Snow White’s pod/coffin, as well as the background. The attention you gave to the astronaut suit is also magnificent. I love how you used multiple shades of white, tan, and blue to build a suit that actually looked real and usable.
The aliens are also astonishing. I love the way you created each one looking different, but at first glance, they could all be virtually identical. The devil is in the details, and you’ve certainly beat that one!
All in all, this piece deserves all the thumbs up I can give! Fantastic job in your creativity and portrayal of a classic tale with a new twist.

A hysterically amusing idea, completed with a generous helping of 'wow' factor. A thrilling twist on the classical tale, It's a classic story, Snow White, but the idea of a future remake is enviously novel. And the incredible attention to detail given to this piece Makes it everything it could be. Nothing has gone amis, from the design of the flowers, to the expressions on everone's faces, to even the bubbles in our heroine's pod and the reflection in the helmet. A truly fantastic art piece. And a hilarious one at that. (not to mention a little bit sexy. Both Terren and Alien.)

Woah! Well all i can say is that this piece is really beautiful and creative! It is very rare for us to see a concept like this. A futuristic snow white and the seven dwarfs. Plus points for the detail and colors. A well defined art, that's what I say.
The concept used for the dwarfs were really good. Somehow you could still see some "Miner" designs in them. Another plus factor for the facial expressions and the emotions brought by our little green friends. It is really fantastic to look at. The containment to where the girl(Snow white) is being held was really well made. The nice effects on the bubbles and the body posture is perfect! I admire small details that brings big impact to the whole piece!
The flare really gave it a good effect on the lighting. It is really an amazing piece if we say it. Really good piece! Though the only downside of it is the costume of the man(Astronaut) should have been given a more modern look. Not too futuristic but a modern design. Still! The overall impact of this piece is really astounding and beautiful!

I really love your realistic and detailed style - it really gives a sense of character and environment (or at least to what little bit of the scenery you can see).
I also like the dramatic lighting/shading - just a tiny bit more contrast and perhaps a bit more saturated colors throughout the image would help (unless my Viao laptop is the culprit making it look desaturated).

I love how you twisted up the concept of the Disney story and added a very sci fi appeal to it. The 'dwarfs' are cute, but kinda creepy in a very good way. Prince Charming, love that he's an astronaut type. And Snow, just beautiful!
