Thanks for asking I feel a bit less discouraged (part of my problems solved because I cleaned thoroughly the lens LOL At least I think so).I try to be more careful when taking a photo,not to squint at sides because there are so many interesting things to see;one at a time (OK,juvenile long-tailed tits don't count).And I think (and hope) that I became more critical considering my work,I choose less photos to show than I would do a year ago. I think with more and more work I finally will be pleased with the results I mean,with the results directly from the camera,because some photos now need some work here and there to make them presentableThanks for all the words of encouragement,it's really easier to cope with this knowing that someone experienced similar things

Cleaning everything is a good idea - I really need to do it too

It is best to try and get things right in the camera but don't let that discourage you - if you like a scene then shoot it as best you can, and fix it later - that's what Photoshop is for
