You blink, still staring at the teacher- no, anime character- who was right where your teacher should have been. A billion things go through your mind 'this must be a dream or something, yeah, or I might be seeing things- oh god don't tell me im high or something, because last time that happened-'
"well, it seems that we have another student joining us- care to explain why your late?"
crap. He's real.
His acid green eyes stare at you, slightly irritated but also curiously as well. Seeing his messy blonde hair as well nearly causes you to fangirl out but a snort breaks you away from the moment, and- surprise, surprise- it comes from the ever so annoying group of boys at the back, always waiting for someone to do something embarrassing, who you decide to glare at intently.
"well?" he states, tapping his foot impatiently.
You snap away from glaring to looking lost for words, trying to come up with something, something decent-
"I, uh... had to, uh, go... to the office!"
well. That went smoothly.
He gives a curt nod and gestures to the only empty seat in the class. "well, take a seat."
you nod quickly and walk/ run over to the desk and put your bag on the floor as you sit down. He quickly turns to you again and you feel like a deer in headlights as your heart starts thumping. Your panicking seems like hours when in reality its only moments, as he starts speaking again "my name is Mr. Kirkland. I am your new history teacher - for the time being at least. You are?"
You mentally sigh, glad that you weren't in trouble.
"____, sir."
"____ ? interesting..."
you give him a questioning look but let him continue.
As he continues, you still feel shocked and very slightly dizzy from the fact that, ENGLAND of all people- characters- is here, living and breathing, and teaching history.
You feel unable to comprehend anything thats going on, but somehow that small part of your brain which connects to real life and not anime understands that you should realise that its obviously not the best idea to start fangirl squealing over the poor soul, and by that you mean England, who certainly doesn't want his eardrums bursting.
"yo dude, are you ok? Your were like, blanking out on me." you blink as you turn your head towards your friend.
"y-yeah, im fine..."
"good! I thought you were listening to him or something, like actually paying attention!"
"do you even care about your education? Or just burgers?"
"duh! Of course not burgers!"
whew. You thought for a minute that -
"McD's burgers! Hah! Did you really think that I would say that educate- thingie?"
-she was really that stupid.
"stupid American"
"hey! Im from Washington DC, dumbo!"
"same thing."
"miss ____ and Kat! Is there something you'd like to share with the class, or would you like to listen this time?"
your lost for words to get yourself out of this awkward situation. But apparently Kat isn't...
"WELL WE WERE TALKING ABOUT BURGERS- BECAUSE THERE TOTALLY THE BEST THINGS EVER AND LIKE, MISS SMARTY PANTS HERE WAS LIKE-"
your eyes widen in alarm of how loud Kat is talking, and apparently the rest of the class do to, as half cover their ears and the other half wince in pain, hoping their eardrums won't burst.
Stepping into action, the person to the left of Kat covers her mouth and starts saving your life. By that you mean-
"sorry sir. We were talking about how queen Elizabeth I coped with Mary when she was queen and what she did to the protestants."
He gives a curt nod and continues with the lesson. Your so happy that you have a friend like the brunette and quickly show your gratitude.
"thank you, Karys!" you whisper shout across the room towards the girl – now engrossed in the lesson, as usual.
She doesn't reply, but she gives a smile, and you know that she heard.

After the lesson, the three of you walk out, and as Kat suddenly smiles, you know something bad is going to happen.
Karys realises this too, as she stops to groan and asks the dreaded question.
"what is it this time?!"
"what?" Kat gives the innocent look but its easily seen through- Kat was never too good at lying.
"Kat..."
oh god.
As you hear the tone of voice that Karys is giving, you know whats going on. A dark aura slowly grows over her as she gives the look.
The creepy one.
Kat slowly backs away from the two of you and starts talking "okay, okay! God, don't do that look, you know I don't like it!"
"get on with it!" you say as your impatience grows.
"dudes, I totally have a awesome idea-"
"what?"
You look towards Karys and see that her impatience is growing as well. She was always like this when she was stressed. school always got to her eventually. Besides, no human could possibly work that hard without going loony every once in a while.
Kat's smile only widens deviously as she says:
"we should totally prank the new history teacher!"
