Drawcember extra: these guys!....
If the direct to video Disney sequel explosion of the late 90s/early 2000s accomplished anything, it was somehow warping my child brain so that I cannot shake the impression now that the original Beauty and the Beast is a Christmas movie, even though it isnt. I guess it is sort of Christmas-adjacent... lots of festive red colors... wintery setting... warm and fuzzy redemption story... eccentric inventor who is almost sort of like a toymaker... curmudgeonly Englishman who learns (?) to be nicer (?) or maybe doesn’t (?)
