Water Angel is more suitable for Lapis, she to me is depicted as the most innocent character in Steven Universe and pretty much the most hurt, she could be also called the "Broken Angel" cause of how Jasper "forced" to fuse into Malachite. 
She is a simple angel.

I really have no idea what fam means.
You must look at this from a perspective of how poetic she really is, like a butterfly, fragile and beautiful in appearance as well as graceful in personality, however pull the wings off and she'll be broken and tattered.

Not really, I just understand her. 
She's characterized as a fragile character, similar to that of, as I've said - a butterfly. She tries her hardest, she hates what's new but still attempts to try things out. Kind of how she found out about Homeworld. She's just scared, not a witch, but a butterfly.
