Location: Fraser River, Beautiful British Columbia.Equipment: Nikon D90 + Tokina 11-16mm.
Technique: Photomatix Pro 4.0 and Photoshop CS5 from 3 JPEG exposures.

In terms of technique, I see a big problem that is distracting from the subject. While the lighting and clarity are good, there is a major drawback in the angle. Because of where the shot is taken from, we have the clouds moving in and reflecting. Now this is not bad in of itself, but becomes a problem when you take into account where they fall. We now have clouds reflections obscuring the clear lines between land and water and throws off the balance of the image. I like the clouds, and I like the land, I just don't feel they come together nicely.
However, that said, there are several good points. The lighting is superb as is the clarity. You've not allowed the sun to wash out the rest of the image, which is a common problem that even some professional photographers sometimes deal with.
Another good point is that you picked a calm day or time of day to take your photo. I like this because it helps the overall image. Overly rough water is more distracting and would draw the focus away from the center of the image.
Finally, the vivid coloring of the sky reminds me of several wonderful paintings I have seen, including some by Thomas Kinkade.
