Location: Tangolunda Bay, Huatulco, Mexico.
Equipment: Nikon D90 + Tokina 11-16mm.
Technique: Photoshop CS5 from 3 RAWs shot in 1.5 EV intervals, hand-blended.

Amazing! What else can I say? Your artwork is very beautiful. The one side looks like there may be a storm coming in but it is clashing with the fire on the other side. I love the contrast between the two sides. The reflection from the condos looks almost like another sun fighting against the dark cloud cover. Beautiful blending! I never would have known that it wasn't one picture.

I love this picture. The timing of this picture, where the clouds depart above the rocky horizon showing the light filled sky behind it gives off the impression of two suns, one setting, the other rising. It makes me feel as of I've somehow stepped into another world where the sky is a mixture of colors like a rainbow.
I'm most particularly impressed with the water. Somehow it looks so surreal that I feel as if I can grasp the foam and flip the water upwards like a silky blanket and lull myself to sleep listening to the sounds of water somewhere in the distance.
This moment captured in time somehow reminds me of how the right sun is setting on stormy clouds; otherwise setting on what seems to be a bad day. However the left sun gives the appearance of rising into a somewhat clear sky chasing and shunning away the darkness, giving hope of a new day.
The picture is truly amazing.

I enjoy the range of colors in this photograph, from the orange to blue to yellow, and even a hint of cyan/blue-green in the upper left corner! It was the colors in this photograph that attracted me to it over the other artworks on the Critiqueable page. I haven't been able to capture a photo like this for quite some time! I find myself under-or-overexposing photos like these (I don't have a graduated density filter to cover the bright sky). Even with the filter, photos like these take a bit of time to master.
However, I find my eye wandering around the photo in search of a central focus area, or a subject, and I can't spot one. I can't tell if the subject is supposed to be the sun, the bright water in the foreground, etc. I think that this photo would be much more appealing if it was taken with a portrait (up/down) frame style, with the sun in the upper left part of the frame leaving out the rocks (except the one in front of the sun, of course) - basically, all the important bright spots on the left would be kept in frame. That way the eye would be led from the bright spot in the foreground through the center and back toward the sun. It would leave out a great portion of the "blank" blue space on the right, where there isn't anything that draws the eye in the first place.
Nevertheless, this is an excellent sunset seascape from an excellent photographer. I've enjoyed his Pacific Northwest photos for a long time now, and he has a style that's inspiring. I simply think that this photo would take those minor adjustments to be more impacting for the viewer.

Talk about a surreal landscape, though to me the fact you are using Photoshop CS5 my guess besides some lens correction you used HDR pro to get this high dynamic color range. My actual question though, is the what as see as the second sun a Photoshop copy effect, taking a picture from the same beach at two different times of the year, (least likely) or the reflection off of giant glass pane winds, like from a lighthouse or something; this is still a great image, that goes without saying.

Wow. I think the hyper-saturation and sudden transition from low waves to foam makes this look even more otherworldly than the dual-sun effect!
