Losing both her parents before she even hatched, Marble was raised at the local daycare . As a young Machop, she expressed interest in Guild work, so Vander took her under his wing to train her as a Tracker. Sometime after Marble evolved, the Guild collectively decided that they'd need a dedicated teacher to train new recruits, so she willingly volunteered for the position, mainly to impress her own mentor.
As a trainer, Marble can be harsh because she believes that the Trackers shouldn't have accepted new recruits so easily. She tries her best, though, and genuinely recognizes when someone goes above and beyond the challenges she sets for them.
