heh, I'm glad you've liked it so much. I've heard a couple people say they've had it run while sleeping. I'm surprised it doesn't crash your computers eventually. I only tested it for 5 minutes at a time or so.

the music is again a perfect accent, you really should be a musical director for films. (i'm not kidding or flattering you, i mean that... consider it!) the only major change i'd make here is to have a color shift to a more somber shade when the 'city' begins to decay... almost a smog brown. the current shade is great for the growth but it really discredits the sadness that you've shown when a city dies.

I actually know how to control dynamic color tinting now, so I could go back and remake this to shift through the whole spectrum.

hmm, I would love to know how to do this kind of things,, I only use flash for frame by frame animations. this is great, I get the feeling of falling and rising civilizations,, good job.

yeah, fbf is great in flash but it takes so long... personally I love tricking people into thinking they're watching an animation when really it's all just random numbers rebounding off eachother.
I end up giving lots of psuedo flash lessons over aim... if you wanted, I could run you through step by step of how I made this animation as long as you have a decent understanding of flash which... judging by your avatar, you should have no problem.

it's from a french film called amalie. the score for almost the whole movie was written by yann tiersen who also plays the accordian in about half the songs in the movie.
fantastic film though, it's one of my absolute favorites.
