Chapter one

Welcome ladies and gentlemen to a world like you've never seen or heard of before. A world that is like no other. A world where your dreams come true in the most peculiar ways.

Violet was getting ready for bed. She had put on her nightgown and was brushing her hair when her father came in to read her favorite bed time story—at the time violet was only 7. "Darling, it's time for bed. Put down your brush and get into bed" he said.

"Ok father. ...Umm, father, why were you and mother yelling at each other? Do you not love each other anymore?" Violet asked him.

"Well my dear daughter, your mother and I still love each other very much, and just because we yell at each other doesn't mean we hate each other," he said. "We are just going through a hard time."

"What is making you and mother yell, father?" Violet asked.

"That doesn't matter sweetheart. You're too young to understand. Now let's read your favorite book." he said. Violet's father got up to get the book from her dresser when he fell to the ground.

"Father! Father! FATHER!" Violet yelled. Her mother and siblings heard her cry and came running up the stairs. Violet's mother was standing in the door way shocked at what she saw

"Richard, Richard," she yelled as she ran towards her dead husband's body. "Emily, take Violet out and let her sleep in your room today" she continued crying.

That night, Violet didn't sleep at all; she loved her father and now that he was gone. Five months after he was buried, her mother pasted away from pneumonia. The children were all by her side as she said her final wishes. Now, Violet, Emily, and Jonathan were living with there aunt and uncle who lived on a private property their lives changed for better and worse. Violet had a hard time getting use to their lifestyle. She had to do everything for her older brother and sister because that is what her aunt and uncle wanted. As the youngest child, for the next 10 years she would be a servant to her brother and sister and also her aunt and uncle.
