I was walking around walmart yesterday and I saw the latest volume of Nintendo Power. Now usually I don;t but these magazines since they don't give you game tips anymore :/, more like a monthly Nintendo E3 in a book. The only reasons I buy it if there is something REALLY BIG having to do with my favorite game franchises.Like when New Super Mario bros was announced I was hyped as hell. And also I thought the 3DS which has great graphics and all, was a stuuuupid concept.Seriously? When I play a game I dont want to stare at an optical illusion for over 4 hours of gameplay. Just the thought makes me sick. Even with Sonic Generations on the 3Ds I still had no reason to buy it.........until now...
I looked at the page. CASTLEVANIA LORDS OF SHADOW MIRROR OF FATE:
It's a 2.5D Platformer
It's a reboot and a sequel of my favorite era in ca- well second favorite. My favorite is the Dracula X and SOTN era.
The graphics look amazing as well as the artwork on the characters ....but that still isn;t the best part......

It is a great day to be a Castlevania fan in this day and age.
Especially considering we Castle-tards don;t get much respect here in the U.S. Gamers now adays dissmiss the creativity of Zelda, Mario, Sonic, and Castlevania. In favor of BARELY innovative and repetitive shooting games that have little replay value besides shooting the living fuck out of Zombies or Solders or what ever the fuck you shoot.
( THere are exceptions of creative and innovative ahooters like Fallout and Doom and Portal and Half life) But even then gamers tend to look over them in favor of:
Call of shitty.
Never the less this game for the 3DS will be EPIC!

I feel like I'm one of the few who aren''t excited for this new Castlevania 3DS.
To me, it looks terrible. The background looks boring and bland, unlike the awesome and rich environments from the DSvanias. The combos attack just seemed out of place and also really boring, thoguh that could be just what they showed so far. The enemy designs look really bad and boring. I mean that Executioner or whatever that thing was shown in the 3DS conference, it just really simple and uncreative. The artwork is cool but I prefer my gothic inspired art created by the legendary Ayami Kojima.

Meh. I thought the same . But I came to appreciate the dark atmosphere it was trying to create, I its worth time and money. And FYI I never played any of the Ds games. I'm planning to but I stick to the strait forward platformers on the new, snes, genesis, turbo grafix 16, and play station
