This painting's quite old. I painted it when I was establishing my OC, Risu ;u; She's a squirrel kemonomimi, appearing in my av and deviantID. I needed some kind of character to reflect me on the internets, so here she is ;v;
~It took me many years to fully understand the quote in the pic. I'm happy that I'm finally satisfied with my work, feels good <3 ; v ;

I'm terrible at backgrounds ;-; but i want to practice and improve! How did you manage to make your character blend in with the background? That's probably what I have most trouble with when trying it

While you color your character try to add some colors from the background to it! (notice how the dress of my character is beige but it has blue hues on it as well) Repeat colors from background in your character ;u ;''
