There are many books, especially tutorials and arts books that only merely demonstaret the steps in a creative process involved, and the steps described sometimes can be vague, so that these authors can make a quick buck from all of us alike. That's why I'd rather prefer to get someone in real-life to teach and I practise side-by-side. Even if it is CG, I prefer to ask the artist directly instead of using books, because words and pictures alone cannot show the creative process in full details.
