Not really. Forums are active, people seem to be very active too.
But it may be just because I'm fairly new to the site.

Yes. It's the one place I can go to and easily see which of my favorite artists are active, what new art they're working on, etc, and even how to find them if they update more often at other sites. It's just too hard to check instagram, tumblr, artstation, all the different patreon accounts, faceboook, and individual websites. If artists don't post something here now and then I feel like they fall off the radar for a bit.
