Description Captain Barbell is a super hero created by the legendary Mars Ravelo. The original story is comprised by a skinny boy who was chosen by a hermit to be the champion of the masses thus giving him an enchanted Barbell that turns him into a super hero named Captain Barbell.

The original story is quite unique and very original. That is why I didn't like the latest TV rendition of the pinoy pop icon. The series is a complete rip-off of the famous Smallville. The costume design is also off beat because it is a rubber suit like the previous Tim Burton Batman films. It doesn't give the actor enough freedom to move that is why most of the scenes are done by digital doubles (3D rendered models). It could be better if they only use tights and a well designed costume.

This piece is a collaboration work. The Lineart is done by another deviant. I found the lineart by using the search engine of deviantART and I became very interested in coloring it. So even that I don't like the series, I colred the artwork and give justice to the lineart.

holy crap is it ever amazing how a DA search can yield a picture almost identical to your mental image of something you'd been thinking about for ages?~

Although the character I was doing had blue tights, red boots and a beltbuckle that said "CD" on it to stand for Captain Dynamic. I think the cape was also gonna be yellow. But the general appearance is pretty similar...

Hello. Captain Barbell is already a silver age Filipino Comic character. As of now there is no known new comic remake of the character but there are several movies and tv shows made this past few years. Here is a music video of the latest Captain Barbell TV series here in the Philippines.

practice makes perfect. Try downloading some tutorials. Maraming ebooks on how to draw in comics sa net. Ganun ang ginagawa ko. Hanggang ngayon hinahasa ko pa rin ang sarili ko.

Aztig! Correct ka dyan! Captain Barbell maybe a big rip-off of DC's Captain Marvel! But the original story created by Mars Ravelo is very different...And totally original! We all know that! One thing that makes Captain Barbell unique and different in other Superheroes is the changing attitude of skinny and Funny Tenteng(or Enteng) when he transforms into a Muscled Masked Superhero Captain Barbell! Captain Barbell is a very serious big man! Nakakapag-usap pa sila kahit iisa lang sila. Nice Muscles ah!

inde, yung ginagamit sa fight scenes ay hindi yung mamahaling pinagawa kay Miles Tevez. May clone yung Hero Suit (as what they call the costume). Para nga daw huwag masira. Eh lintek!!! Sana di na sila gumastos. Yung original suit ginagamit lang sa mga drama scenes ni Captain Barbell. Yung walang masyadong movements. Kakainis.
