Today is January 6th, so I thought a little Holmes lovin would be appropriate. If you haven't seen the movie yet, it's pretty darn good (just suspend any prior knowledge you have of the great detective, or you may be disappointed). Robert Downey Jr.'s Holmes is unorthodox but highly entertaining. So go watch it...... you know you want to >

Painted in Photoshop in about 2.5 hours while loopy from exhaustion.

Nice drawing! I like the lighting of the face in the shadows, although the hand is a bit pudgy. I think it might need knuckles but other than that it's pretty good.

Thanks! And I know exactly what you mean about the hand. I did my best to fix it (it was actually MUCH worse before) and this was the best I got XP. To be honest, I'm so crappy at hands I'm mostly just glad this even resembles one.

Anyway, I've been absolutely dying to see this movie (and Avatar again xD) but haven't had the time. Love the picture, the expression, colors, and general scratchy feel it has ^^

Isn't the scratchy feel fun? I kept bursting out with giggles of mirth while working on it.
Anyhow, the movie is epic. I have unfortunately NOT seen Avatar yet, a fact that I think might be killing me slowly....
